


This is an invitation for you and your partner to enjoy this special occasion by visiting the most magical and spiritual destinations in the Andean world. It is an opportunity to regain energy and relax while being pampered at the Colca Canyon, Urubamba Valley and Machu Picchu. Romantic dinners, spa treatments and a blessing of couples ceremony are just a few details that will make this experience a memorable one.
DAY 1: LIMA | INC: -
Arrival in Lima, meet and greet by the Viajes Pacifico staff who will assist us with luggage and will provide a brief city orientation and helpful information. Transfer to the hotel for accommodation. Special amenities and welcome present. Overnight stay in Lima.
DAY 2: LIMA | INC: B/D
Our morning will start with a delightful tour through Lima’s streets and plazas. Starting at the Love Park in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean, and then heading to the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture. Later we will go to San Isidro, financial center of the city to visit de Huaca Huallamarca, ancient pre-Incan shrine. After this, we go on to the Main Square where the Government Palace and the Town Hall are located. We will visit the Cathedral and explore the San Francisco convent, built in the seventeenth century, to discover the mystery of its catacombs. Afternoon off to rest and enjoy the hotel facilities. At night, we will have dinner à la carte at La Rosa Nautica restaurant, a Victorian decorated city icon that overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Overnight stay in Lima.
DAY 3: LIMA/AREQUIPA | INC: B
Transfer to the airport to catch the departing flight to Arequipa. Meet and greet on arrival and transfer to the hotel. Free morning to get used to the altitude. This afternoon tour of the “White City” has more than a surprise for us: the Main Square, the Cathedral, the Cloisters, the Compañia de Jesus Church, the colonial district of Yanahuara, the San Lazaro neighborhood, the Chilina ravine and the residential area of Selva Alegre. On top of all that we will be lucky to witness a true gem: the Santa Catalina Monastery which was closed for almost 400 years and now captivates us with its narrow passages, plazas and gardens inspired by the ancient neighborhoods of Seville and Granada. Overnight stay in Arequipa.
DAY 4: AREQUIPA/COLCA | INC: B/L/D
We set off to the spectacular Colca Valley going up the foothills of Chachani volcano and admiring the Misti and Picchu Picchu Volcanoes. Then we cross the vicuña reservation of Pampa Cañahuas, where we can see them running free in the high Andean lands. Peculiar villages around us. We will stop for lunch on our way to the lodge. Free afternoon to rest and enjoy the lodge and the optional visit to the thermal baths in the area. Dinner and overnight stay at the Colca Valley.
DAY 5: AREQUIPA/COLCA | INC: B/L
Early in the morning we will go to the Condor Cross viewpoint. Before us will be the awesome flight of the condors, huge Andean birds on the brink of extinction and symbol of the Andes mountain range. The view at this place allows us to appreciate the canyon’s depth, considered one of the deepest in the world. We will then visit the Maca and Yanque towns which still keep the colonial churches. After lunch, it is to time to go back to Arequipa city. Overnight stay in Arequipa.
DAY 6: AREQUIPA/CUSCO | INC: B
Transfer to the airport and flight to Cusco. On arrival, meet and greet, and transfer to hotel. Morning off to get used to the altitude. In the afternoon, we will visit the highlights of the magnificent Cusco Downtown, a mélange of cultures and styles from the Spanish and Inca cultures. Our first stop will be the Santo Domingo or Koricancha (Temple of Gold) a beautiful convent built over an Inca palace. We will continue to the Cathedral to delight ourselves with awe-inspiring paintings from the Cusco School. Continuing our immersion in the city, we will visit Sacsayhuaman, a huge and impressive fortress of colossal constructions and surrounded by beautiful views blending together perfectly. Our adventure continues at the Inca Shrine Qenqo, to see the sacrificial altar embedded inside a rock cave. Finally we will arrive to the Puca Pucara viewpoint and Tambomachay, monument of impressive architectonic knowledge considered as one of the pillars of Andean Cosmo vision. Overnight stay in Cusco.
DAY 7: CUSCO/SACRED VALLEY | INC: B/L/D
The Sacred Valley of the Incas is waiting for you. Our tour starts at Chinchero, where we will see a short exhibit of traditional textiles, a distinctive feature of this town dedicated to following ancestral dyeing techniques to create high quality works of art. Our trip continues in Moray, a place with a breathtaking view thanks to its colossal concentric terraces resembling a coliseum. What did they use it for? The terraces recreated 20 different types of microclimates, and they were studied to ensure the agricultural production of the empire. After a picnic-style lunch we will continue our journey to Maras, the millenary colonial salt mines. The contrast of the white pools against the green valley is so impressive that it resembles a postcard. Our last stop: Ollantaytambo, a small town full of local color and inhabited since Inca times in which we will visit the main temple used as a fortress during the Inca resistance. Breathtaking views for amazing pictures. Finally, it is time to go to our hotel at the Sacred Valley. At night, we will be part of a short, but emotional ceremony honoring the “Pachamama” or Mother Earth as we are grateful for their blessings. Dinner at the hotel restaurant.
DAY 8: SACRED VALLEY/MACHU PICCHU | INC: B/L/D
We will board the train at the Ollantaytambo station for one of the most spectacular train rides in the world. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. After a guided visit, we will have time to explore the fortress and have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu.
DAY 9: MACHU PICCHU/CUSCO | INC: B
Early in the morning, our guide will take us to the Lost City of the Incas for an intimate and special visit of the Inca complex. We will also have time to explore the citadel on our own. At the arranged time, we will return to Cusco by train and will be transferred to our hotel. Overnight stay in Cusco.
DAY 10: CUSCO/LIMA | INC: B
Transfer to the airport for your departure to Lima. Upon arrival, assistance at airport for your international departure.
